The Hewlett Lawrence Soccer Club (HLSC) will be conducting its annual travel team tryouts & Open team training on the turf field at Woodmere Middle School (WMS)

Tryouts will be overseen the Director of Coaching and conducted by professional trainers.

All HLSC teams compete in the Long Island Junior Soccer league (LIJSL) Spring & Fall seasons. Teams also participate in local indoor Winter leagues & tournaments.

Travel teams typically practice twice a week (Spring/Fall) for 75-90 minutes and once a week (indoors) for 60 minutes during the winter months. All teams are professionally trained with the assistance of a parent supervisor (team coach/manager). Games are played on the weekends against Nassau and Suffolk clubs at varying times of the day.

Travel soccer is serious commitment and is designed for players that want to improve their technique and tactical understanding of the game. All players from the 5 towns and surrounding area are encouraged to try out on their birth year (not school grade)

Tryout/Open practice Registration is open

All Players (past, present & future) must attend at least one tryout date. It is highly recommended you attend both nights.

Arrive 15 minutes early to check in, warm up and mentally prepare.

All players trying out must wear cleats, shin guards, wear soccer attire and bring a ball & water

All Tryouts take place at Woodmere Middle School 1170 Peninsula blvd Hewlett 11557

As per USSF mandates all players will tryout on birth year (Not school grade or team).

All players are highly encouraged to attend both tryout dates
